Home-Buyer Damp & Timber Survey — £290

Ideal for buyers or mortgage/solicitor requirements. This covers all accessible areas of a property and identifies existing or potential damp or timber problems, including wood rot or woodworm. You’ll receive a clear, lender-friendly written report outlining any issues and recommended treatments.

Full Comprehensive (Invasive) Survey — £450 

Our most thorough inspection, designed for properties with suspected hidden damp or where previous inspections gave inconclusive results. Includes:

Removal of skirting boards and lifting of floorboards (where needed)

Moisture testing using calcium-carbide meters

Salts analysis to help pinpoint moisture source (e.g. rising damp)

Thermal imaging and, where necessary, inspection camera access

A fully detailed report with photographs and repair or remediation advice

Because this is invasive, it may involve minor disruption (e.g. to floor coverings or plasterwork), but we always request approval first and handle carefully to minimise impact.

Condensation & Mould Assessment — £180  

Focuses on moisture issues caused by poor ventilation, heating, or insulation. We assess humidity levels, air flow, insulation, and heating/ventilation efficiency. Includes a report with practical advice to reduce mould and damp risk — a great choice for rental properties, landlords, or occupants of modern buildings prone to condensation. Thermal imaging is offered as an optional extra.

Post-Remedial Damp Survey — £160

For those who have had damp treatment or waterproofing work done. This follow-up check uses moisture meters and (optionally) thermal imaging to verify drying progress, check for moisture recurrence, and ensure that remediation has been effective. Ideal for warranties, builder checks, or sale-of-property certification. (Under Awaabs Law, it’s now a legal requirement for landlords to schedule follow-up investigations)
